The inspiration for this garment is derived from the Jogakbo, a patchwork wrapping cloth or tablecloth that was commonly used by the people in Korean traditional society. Domestically made ramie and hemp were pre-mordanted and dyed using natural dyes. The naturally specked and irregular size yarns in hemp fabric added rustic interest to the design. The geometric shapes patterns of jogakbo reflect unique sentiment and rhythmic sense of Korean culture.
