Traditional Korean dress, HANBOK, refers to clothing of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1897) and is worn as semi-formal or formal wear during traditional festivals and celebrations today.

This project was an interpretation of Hanbok in linking cultures. The basic idea was to combine the beauty of simple lines of Korean dress with the beauty of body line, specifically waistline, of 1840s European dress.

The skirt features a full pick-up with ivory and silver embroidery embellishments at the center of each pick-up, and supported with multi-layered petticoat.
